I am trying to make my machine use DNS over TLS (DoT). There are numerous post on how to do this. When I try to enable the feature on my Windows 11 machine the "dot=yes" is not an available option.

    Dear Dragan,

Hello! Welcome to the Microsoft Community. I'm glad to be able to assist you. If I misunderstand your question, please let me know promptly.

I understand that you are having trouble enabling the DNS over TLS feature and that "dot=yes" is not an available option. I understand the confusion this issue may have caused you and I will do my best to help you resolve this issue.

Currently, DNS over TLS is only available in the latest Windows preview version, and other versions of Windows cannot use this feature. This may be the reason why you cannot enable it.

If you want to join the Windows preview version, check out the following article:

I hope the above information is helpful, if you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
