Hi there Ghost, I'm John, a fellow Microsoft user like you.

I understand you're having concerns, and I'm here to help. It seems like you have the standalone Copilot for Windows app, which is now available for some users and will be rolled out more widely soon. If you're not using a Copilot+ PC (Which has this by default), it’s likely that you’re seeing this standalone app now.

You might find it pinned in the app section of your taskbar. If it's not there, try pressing Start key and searching for "Copilot," then pin it to your taskbar.

You can find more information here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wel... The standalone Copilot app functions similarly to the previous Copilot for Windows Preview version, but you can only pin it to the taskbar like a regular app. Currently, there’s no way to move it to the right side of the screen, and the Windows key + C shortcut for the Preview version has been disabled with this update.

If you're looking for the Copilot for Windows (Pre) version, unfortunately, with the latest update, it’s no longer available once the update is installed.

I hope this information is helpful, please click "Reply" below to let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

I completely agree! The convenience of it has been completely stripped away with this new update. I am honestly genuinely disappointed.

    Hi,

I wanted to bring to your attention that the Copilot in the sidebar is also not working for me. I absolutely love using it, and it’s essential that we bring it back. The sidebar allows Copilot to be used in other apps and to snip photos immediately instead of snipping, saving, and then uploading to the Copilot app.

The Copilot sidebar is amazing and incredibly useful. Please look into this issue as soon as possible.

    Thank you
