Windows 11 File Explorer Navigation Pane Item/Folder Spacing Bug / Issue

Can anyone explain or offer any solutions to my file explorer navigation pane spacing between items, the spacing is massive now as compared to a previous screenshot, this is with compact view on. I've tried rolling back GPU drivers, updating them, updating windows, running windows recovery, windows repair, command line repair commands, trying different resolutions or playing with scaling to no avail. Its very irritating.

The first photo is the issue of the navigation pane and how it is currently, and the second photo is how it was and how it should be/I want it to be, thanks in advance, AJ

    Same issue.

I hadn't used my PC for a couple of weeks prior to the last week of September. Everything was fine upon initial startup, then I installed the Dropbox for Windows app and noticed the spacing issue immediately after (not sure if a windows update was installed at the same time?)

I also have Solidworks 2023 installed, though this never caused issues before.

I'm still on 22 version of Solidworks, so that shouldn't be it.

For me the only thing that changed was the latest win11 update.

    Hey all,

I have the same problem too starting a few days ago and it seems like it all started when I upgraded/reinstalled Solidworks 2024. I've had SW2022 and Autodesk software on my PC for the longest time but my guess is that something in during the Solidworks install messed up the nav bar? If I get the chance I will try to uninstall Solidworks to see if that's our culprit but hopefully there's a more permanent solution soon.

    Hi guys,

I'm the OP and I also have Solidworks, and FreeCAD installed. No Autodesk though, at least not for now.

I have the student version of Solidworks and I'm updating it to SP4.0 from SP3.1, I'll see if it makes any changes,

    Bets regards,

    AJ
