Thank you for the response but I am not trying to clear the events. I want to work them and resolve them so they stop reoccurring. I realize root cause analysis and resolution are not popular in 2024 but I prefer to actually resolve the errors instead of ignoring them. Yes, most are non fatal errors but that just makes them noise that needs to be sifted through. Removing the noise significantly improves the ability to diagnose and resolve fatal errors.
Event Log Online Help - When will it finally be fixed?
In the Event Viewer there is a link on the General tab for More Information. It is labeled Event Log Online Help. The Event Log Online Help used to work. It provided the information that we needed for each event. I literally had all my events cleaned up. Now there are a ton of events and no way to clean them up.
Microsoft did some updates and broke the link to the events. They eventually fixed it but then broke it again. There was a work around posted on a website (not going to point them out) but they were forced to shut it down. When is the link going to finally be fixed?
Don't tell me it is legacy, if it is legacy then the links would be removed. I know these Event IDs and online help exist for Microsoft. Just fix it for your customers.
