For the past few weeks this pops up when i try to launch certain games on steam. I have tried my best but i just can't figure out how to fix it.

This started when i upgraded to windows 11 and i didn't have any problems before that. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling these programs but the message keeps popping up. I don't even know what this program Microsoft visual C++ 2022 x86 14.40.33810 is being used for because i can still run the games normally if i just click past it. I'm sorry but it won't let me attach a screenshot for some reason so i have to use a URL Screenshot-2024-10-30-125239.png

    Hi ,

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

Well, you can do the following to uninstall all visual C++ from your computer using Microsoft FIx it application to completely uninstall visual C++ after uninstallation.

    https://download.microsoft.com/download/7/E/9/7...

Open the on command(admin) prompt and run the commands: sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth , wait for the process to finish and restart the PC.

Reinstall using Visual C++ AIO after download extract the install.bat file right click run as administrator.

Reinstalling all Visual C++ packages should resolve the issue by not prompting you to install VIsual C++.

    Hi ,

Open, as an administrator, the Windows Registry by typing "Regedit" into the Windows Start button.

    Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products to remove MSI

Go to "Edit" and look for the missing *.msi file that was called out in the error message.

Reinstall using Visual C++ AIO after download extract the install.bat file right click run as administrator.

Thank you for your advice, it helped me.

I deleted all the branches that the installer complained about from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products folder and everything was installed!

Everything else installed correctly just the 2015-2022 doesn't want to install
