Phone link stopped working and will not connect to my Android phone.

Phone link has stopped working between my Windows 10 machine and my Galaxy A71 phone. Phone link gives me a QR code that I scan with my camera app on my phone which just takes me to Link to Windows and then shows my computer name trying to connect but it never does. How can I complete remove links from my PC and phone and start this process over from scratch?

I have had the same problem for a few months now. Even when it worked it was a little flaky, but it is a very cool app, at least for me and seemed to get more stable until one day it simply stopped working. Seems to me it stopped after an Android update. To the Moderator, I think Phone Link is not a downloadable app in W10, it is simply part of the OS. I say think as I am not an expert. The best I could do was right click on the app icon, go to settings, and try all the options, including resetting/deleting all the data. You cannot delete and reinstall the app. My phone works fine on Bluetooth, recognizes all other bluetooth devices, and Windows sees my phone with Bluetooth and pairs. I have tried reinstalling the app on my phone, but it does not fix the problem. I have tried everything and just gave up. Too bad, it is a good idea, at least the way I work.

Phone Link is not listed in the Apps & features section of the Settings app.

Same problem here - has been stable for years but broke in the last month. I did an update to both the android phone and to Win 10 at about the same time so i can't say which update caused the issue. Phone Link is a system component and can't be uninstalled. It's not listed in the Windows Store but i did find this link to install it (not that it helped): https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nmpj99vjbwv?hl=en-US&gl=PK.

Still hoping for a fix from MS or Samsung.

Same problems. I cannot remove the app, or reinstall the app. Updating the app does not help. It is not possible to remove a device and it is not possible to add a device. It is not possible to link to my Windows 10 PC. I have tried every method, entered codes, but nothing works.

    Hello, EricRook

You can go to “Settings > System > System Components” where you can find the “Phone Link” application.
