Still not working. Should I just stop using chrome from now on?
Chrome slow, using 80% of CPU and fan loud.

On occasion starting about a week ago Chrome often gets really slow. REALLY slow. It takes several minutes and is using 80% or more of my CPU and memory. At that exact time, and only at that time, my computer fan gets loud. Closing chrome and rebooting the computer does not help. Most times chrome is fine - but that slow times are happening more and more.
When this happens everything else works fine on my computer. I can open edge it works fine. I am running windows 10

2024-10-11T08:06:55+00:00 I have been having same problem for a few days as well. On my laptop. Suddenly I can't do anything in Chrome and task manager tells me 30 tabs are open. (There are five).
I have Windows 10.
I have checked the extensions. (Had not added anything new). Plus I reinstalled Chrome.
Until this is fixed, I will use Firefox :(

2024-10-28T15:44:25+00:00 I am still having issues. Randomly chrome grabs a lot of memory and everything slows down for a minute or two then ok again.

2024-10-07T13:28:38+00:00 It just did it again. Out of the blue chrome goes from it's typical 3% (give or take) it goes to 50%, sometimes even higher. It then goes back down on it's own without me doing anything with chrome.

2024-10-07T13:09:42+00:00 This did not help. With only this window open in chrome task manager shows 10 open chrome tasks. When I open yahoo email it shows 19 open chrome tasks. It just happened. I had been typing in an email with 8 chrome windows open. All had been open for at least 10 minutes with no changes. I was only in 1 window typing an email. I heard that get loud and fast while typing and went to chrome and all was basically frozen. It did this for a couple minutes then everything was completely normal again.
