Windows 11 HDR Shortcut only deactivates HDR even if already deactivated. HDR off works, HDR on does not.

Hi all,

I have the problem that the Game Bar HDR Shortcut (Win + Alt + B) only deactivates HDR and does not activate it again. That way i always need to go into the screen settings to activate HDR again. Another thing I found: Once I active HDR and press Win + G to open the Game Bar -> Settings -> Gaming Features: HDR on/off is activated, but changing to only activate HDR on the main monitor does not stay there. After closing settings and reopening it is reverted back to HDR on all monitors.

I already uninstalled and reinstalled Game Bar several times. And it is a clean Windows 11 install by the way. Repairing in Windows Settings and complete deletion also don't change this behavior.

Game Bar Version: 7.124.7102.0

Edition Windows 11 Pro

Version 24H2

Installiert am ‎16.‎07.‎2024

Betriebssystembuild 26120.1252

Leistung Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.11.0

Hope someone can help me.

Thanks in advance.

Turn off Automatically manage color for apps setting in Display -> Color Management

The shortcut works fine after disabling this.

    Thank you, this works!

For others, it's Settings > System > Display > Color profile that brings you to Color Management.

Okay at least we know this seems to be an issue with the build.
