You gave the textbook copy/paste answer for the solution on an xbox console. The original poster clearly states the controller on a PC
Xbox controller on Pc keeps disconnecting and reconnecting
My controller keeps disconnecting and reconnecting from my pc. It does it when it's not plugged in and when it's plugged in. It also sometimes delays when I use the sticks.

2024-10-19T03:18:11+00:00 Hi all- I think I finally found the solution on another site after having the same issue for nearly a year. Basically you want to turn off the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" setting on your bluetooth adapter. To do this, go to:
- Device manager,
- click the Bluetooth dropdown
- Identify your bluetooth adapter from the list (mine is called "Realtek Wireless Bluetooth Adapter" but cant guarantee yours will be the same)
- Right click the adapter, and select "properties"
- click "power management" tab
- Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
- Click "OK"
This is my first night trying this solution, but I have been able to continue playing uninterrupted for nearly 2 hours, so I think this might be the key. Hope this helps someone
