I have same issue, have tried everything you mention above, and every attempt leads to failure. I'm not an IT guy, so please please let me know what other info I can provide. Quite frankly, it is a black eye to Microsoft that these problems exist for so simple of an operation.

I have the same problem, I did all the steps described here, and they didn't work for me, I also tried to do an in-place installation as described in the article you shared, but I get the same error. I can't do a clean install, since it's the work computer, the detail is that the error makes an infinite loop trying to install the update, and it slows down the computer. Any ideas to solve it?

Hi, few days ago I've faced same problem with 24h2 update.

No chances to install that stuff.

    I've looked into setuperr.log

There was TAGREF array insufficient error in some cpp files.

One of the proposed solutions as to remove profiles from regedit.

    (this I've done https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/unable-to-upgrade-windows-10-pro-version-22h2-to/6d4acf79-df24-4d80-a2be-caf63511d379 with similar HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList)

    I did't.

Lost some VM's and context after this operation - but - currenty I've 24H2 succesfully installed.

    Maybe this will help you?

    Regards,

    MW

I have executed the script above several times and have attempted to install from the .iso file. The result is:

    We couldn't install Windows 11

We've set your PC back to the way it was right before you started installing Windows 11.

    0x8007001F - 0x3000D

The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation

I have verified my user profile (located on a D:\ drive separate from the C:\ drive with the OS. Having no success updating to 24H2. The registry is consistent with the location of the user profile. All other profiles are on the C;\ drive.
