Recently, I bought a new PC, hooked it up to ethernet and tried to set up a mobile hotspot, but there is no mobile hotspot, nor a WiFi option, only airplane mode, yet it is greyed out. I have searched Microsoft forums for 2 days trying every solution i found, still no fix, I tried everything and I still cant get the mobile hotspot option to show up or the WiFi. So I am asking if there are any new solutions to this question. My PC model is a Dell Optiplex 7040 MT Win10Pro. Would appreciate if I could get either WiFi option fixed or Mobile hotspot option.

Hi.
In fact, Device Manager shows that there is no wireless network card installed on your PC.
You can purchase and install a PCI-E wireless network card or purchase an external USB WiFi adapter. The mobile hotspot requires a wireless network card to be present on the PC in order to work.
Hi, I am an Independent Advisor.
Let me help you with this issue.
I understand you do not have WIFI option on your PC.
Normally Dell OptiPlex Desktops will not come with built-in WIFI cards.

What did you hook the Ethernet cable to? Is your Wi-Fi adapter Enabled? What did you use to set up your mobile hotspot?
