2023-12-12T03:45:13+00:00 Hey there!
My name is Ravi, an independent advisor and expert user. I am happy to help you. :)
I understand how hard it can be to wait when the downloading speed is slow even with a fast internet connection.
It can be related to an outdated router, the distance of your devices to the router, ISP throttling, or the number of people or devices connected to your network. Low disk space and Windows Update caches can also be reasons.
Try using the Windows Update and Network troubleshooter.
>> Select Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Next, under Most Frequent, select Windows Update > Run.
1). Select the Start button > Settings > Network & Internet > Status. Open Network & Internet Status settings.
2). Under Change your network settings, select Network Troubleshooter.
Feel free to get in touch again if you have any additional questions.
Cheers,
Ravi

2025-04-07T12:04:37+00:00 I have been enduring this problem for a while now and it looks like I finally found the problem.
1 - Open the Windows Update window (Settings > Windows Update)
2 - Click on "Advanced options"
3 - Click on "Delivery Optimization"
4 - Click on "
AdvancedDownload Options"5 - Check if there's any limit on the bandwidth used for downloading on both foreground and background
For some reason, mine was set both to 0.1 Mbps, so I removed the limit and it fixed the issue.
If it doesn't work after changing, try restarting the Windows Update service.
This!
Updated step 4.
Then I changed it from "Percentage of measured bandwidth" to "Absolute bandwidth limit"
It won't save the setting and keeps flipping back. So, I turned it on and set both to 100%. That setting saved.
