Microphone not working after upgrading to Windows 11 22H2
Hello,
Recently, After upgrading my windows 11 21H2 to 22H2 my microphone stopped working. after doing several common problems that none worked out I gave up.
Now I am in need of my microphone and no solution out there solved my problem so far. I literally did any possible and related solution to solve this but nothing.
This problem happened right after upgrading to 22H2. I am fully sure that my microphone device is functionable and working on other PCs. I've already tried these solutions :
- Microphone device wire, cable and check its functionality
- Microphone access is ON at Privacy & Settings and all Apps
- Tried command sfc /scannow
- Device is not disable in BIOS either Windows device manager
- Uninstalling and reinstalling related drivers
- Mic is set default and it is not Mute
- Recording volume is at max
- Tried another microphone device, nothing
- Updating to latest driver possible
- Troubleshooting fails to continue (Recording Audio)
- Clean boot
- Enable/Disable app exclusive control
Problem is very frustrating at this moment, Please help me solve this breaking problem. I thank you in advance.
Kind Regards

2024-10-13T04:47:45+00:00 I don't know about anyone else, but I AM EXTREMELY TIRED OF THESE UPDATES ALWAYS MESSING UP SOMETHING! We have to then wait< if normals troubleshooting methods don't work, for ANOTHER update> this is RIDICULOUS.

2024-04-28T16:36:29+00:00 I spent 3 days frustrated with the same input "run troubleshooter" and that is limited, kept saying not found. This was my fix. I connected a dock at some point dragging my laptop around to different offices. Mainly cause they kept firing people to save a buck, now loaded with 3 peoples job making same salary from 5 years ago. Not a pizza party or reach around. Oh well.
-Type Device Manager in the search on toolbar at bottom
-Scroll to System Devices towards the bottom of the tree
-Scroll to Intel Smart Sound Technology
Updated and fixed. It had a caution symbol on it which made obvious.
Thanks for the solution for me...
