I got the same issue, which is very frustrating. If you cannot hide the progress bar when the video is paused, it should NOT overlap the video content!!
How do I turn off the bar with the play and stop option when my video is paused in media player?
I have been trying all morning to get my bar with the play and stop button to disappear when my video is paused in media player, but nothing works. I found one solution is to go to tools and change a setting but no matter where I look there is no tools button to help me. I also heard that by clicking out of the tab when paused it will go away but won't. There was a solution to find the toolbar, but it also didn't work. I really don't know what to do can someone please help?

2024-04-02T09:17:28+00:00 Hello Patrick 1r,
Welcome to the Microsoft Community!
Understood your concern about the play and stop button disappearing when paused in the media player.
I understand your concern, however this is the way the media player is designed to be displayed, the play and stop buttons do not disappear when paused in the media player, only during playback does this button disappear. There is no official program for this operation in Microsoft's documentation.
However, your ideas are very constructive, which is very appreciated, and I believe they deserve and need attention.
