I already put the exclamation sound on it, but when I turn the volume up/down it won’t work. And your reply is not helpful :(

I had this issue (Win 11 23H2) and it turned out to be a problem with my Windows profile that was fixed by modifying the registry. What fixed it for me is trying to see if it works on a test profile, and if the exclamation sound works there, exporting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\EventLabels\SystemExclamation and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps.Default\SystemExclamation registry keys. Make backups of the same keys on your old profile and delete the original ones (the exclamation sound should disappear under System Sounds at this point). Run the exported ones from the new profile and restart your computer, and the exclamation sound should work (it may need to be set again under System Sounds).

Quote "when I turn the volume up/down it won’t work"

it doesn't says that.. in the question description

The next suggestion, would be to reset the

windows audio : To its default settings

    that action. Might return the

    volume to normal

    1. Right click the audio icon >> in the lower right, corner by the clock
                   2) click on - **Playback devices.**

    2. select the device, you want it. As default audio

The majority of users, choose - Speakers -

and then, click on - Set Default.

    1. click oK.. To save it
