Apologizes on the explanation. I went onto files explorer, then clicked documents, and then went to the file folder labeled sound recordings. I tried what you suggested, and nothing came up. I appreciate your help.
Where could I look for an audio recording that disappeared?
So, I used the sound recorder app to record an assignment. I stopped the recording and went to rename it. As I hit enter it vanished. I checked the Documents to Sound Recordings, and nothing was there. I also checked the recycle bin and there too was nothing. If there is any other place it could be I'd appreciate the help.

2024-11-04T15:54:42+00:00 I'm not sure what you mean by "I checked the Documents to Sound Recordings," but in Windows 7, Sound Recorder by default saves the recording in your Documents folder with the name Untitled.wma
Even if you had successfully renamed the file, it still should have been saved with a .wma file extension.
Click Start > Documents and then type .wma in the Search box at the upper right of the window. There shouldn't be too many of these files, so your recording ought to be easy to spot.
