Why is there no way to move main taskbar to a second monitor?

Hi,

The problems this creates for me are kind of crippling and it's honestly surprising that this change from windows 10 is even a thing.

The ones that I can think of:

-I sometimes have to share my screen in apps like discord and I don't want my work notifications to pop in the same screen I'm sharing (for NDA reasons). If I set the screen as a secondary display, it creates many problems. In windows 10 the main task bar was separate from the main display which solved this problem.

-I wanted to turn off the banners for the notifications (which is far from the optimal solution), but I have to turn them off for every app separately. In windows 10 you could just turn the whole thing off while keeping the sounds. This is still problematic even if I turn off each and every one of them because sometimes, I need to check the notifications which can only be done on the main display still.

-Another problem with windows 11 is that it doesn't remember window locations as it claims. I constantly have to move windows to the desired display when they first launch. This needs to be fixed. It's been a while.

All in all, extremely dissatisfied with the UX. Especially knowing that Windows 10 is losing support soon, while windows 11 is practically a downgrade in customizability.

Please fix your stuff.

    Hi ,

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

I'm sorry, but Windows 11 has the function for you to maintain a separate task bar according to the application on each screen.

Start Menu > Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar Behaviors > When Using Multiple Screens > Main taskbar and Taskbar where window is open.

Thus, keeping the applications that are on the main screen in the taskbar and another on the secondary monitor would be this function.

Alternatively, you can also return to the Windows 10 taskbar if you wish in Windows 11 using a third-party application.

    Hope this helps.
