Hello, Samyak Khadse
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Hello, thank you for your feedback here, it sounds like the issue you are experiencing is Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service (BthAvSvc) causing Bluetooth audio devices to not work properly.
Generally this issue can be related to the driver or the hardware itself, here are some common troubleshooting steps:
- Manually restart the Bluetooth service
Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
In the Services window, scroll down to find the following services:
Bluetooth Support Service
Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service (BthAvSvc)
Right-click the Bluetooth Support Service and select Restart.
If the Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service is not responding, right-click on it, select Stop, and then select Start.
If the service keeps showing “Stopping” or fails to start, try restarting the computer.
- Check the Bluetooth driver in Device Manager.
Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
Expand the Bluetooth section.
Right-click on your Bluetooth device and select Update Driver.
Select Automatically search for updated drivers.
If Windows doesn't find an update, you can visit the device manufacturer's official website and download the latest Bluetooth driver.
After updating, restart your system and check if the problem is solved.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Bluetooth driver
In Device Manager, right-click your Bluetooth device and select Uninstall Device.
Check the “Remove driver software for this device” option.
Restart your computer and Windows will automatically reinstall the Bluetooth driver.
After reinstallation, test if the problem is solved.
- Run the Bluetooth Troubleshooter
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshooting.
Under Find and fix other problems, select Bluetooth, and then click Run Troubleshooting.
Follow the on-screen instructions to see if Windows can detect and fix the Bluetooth problem.
- Modify the power management settings for Bluetooth
In Device Manager, right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select Properties.
In the Power Management tab, uncheck Allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
Click OK to apply the changes and restart your computer.
- Performing a System File Check (SFC)
Open Command Prompt as an administrator (right-click the Start button and select Command Prompt (Administrator)).
Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
Let the system scan and repair any system files that may be causing the problem.
- Check the dependencies of the Bluetooth Audio Gateway (BthAvSvc) service
The Bluetooth Audio Gateway service may depend on other services. In the Services window (services.msc), right-click the Bluetooth Audio Gateway service, select Properties, and then switch to the Dependencies tab.
Make sure that the listed dependent services are running. If any of the required services are not running, try starting them.
- Reset Bluetooth Settings
If the above steps do not solve the problem, you can try resetting the Bluetooth settings:
Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth and other devices.
Remove all paired devices and then try to reconnect the Bluetooth audio device.
After doing this, reboot the system.
- Try using an external Bluetooth adapter
If the problem persists with the Bluetooth module that came with your laptop, you can try using an external USB Bluetooth adapter, which will allow you to troubleshoot if there is an issue with the hardware itself.
You can try it out by referring to the steps above, and after that, give some feedback and I will further support you.
