This is a huge disgrace!! This is a problem that has been going on for months and you are not able to solve it without having to ask the users to solve it. We are not technicians!!! We are customers and consumers of your products. Shame!!! Shame! This is disrespectful to the users. It seems that this is the result of useless work!! We are not obliged to do any of this. It should be simple. We should just do the update and the machine will work normally. A useless update!!! It is only causing headaches for the users. I am about to migrate to Linux. My machine is having this same problem. An update that should have been smooth has become a headache. What a useless job this new update was!!! Solve this and don't be useless worms!!! Show that you are worthy of the profession you practice!!!
Can't resolve driver cannot load: iqvw64e.sys and pcdsrvc_64.pkms
Hello,
Since the last update of my windows on the 23rd of October (Windows 11, version 24H2), I keep receiving these error messages:
- driver pcdsrvc_64.pkms cannot load on this device
- driver iqvw64e.sys cannot load on this device
I have checked for updates in Windows update and Optional updates and have installed them. And I have checked the Memory Intergrity setting in Windows Security which was already turned off.
Could you please let me know what can I do to solve this?

2024-11-25T18:01:39+00:00 You failed to fix the issue with 6 times at bat.
How do we, or Microsoft, take it off the vulnerable driver list? It's not a virus, so why are you suggesting a virus scan? It is known what it did and does and its threat potential, take it off the list.

2024-12-02T10:55:49+00:00 Brian,
Thanks for the insightful instructions, which I followed successfully. However, a few days later the same error has occurred. This is a bit frustrating since the root cause seems to be a compatibility issue between Microsoft and Intel and Dell.
Perhaps a better fix can be made soon so that customers can enjoy a better experience. It would seem more logical that Microsoft alert Intel and Dell ahead of sending out updates so that they can update their drivers at the same time.
End users of Microsoft operating systems shouldn't have to concern themselves with compatibility issues between Microsoft and chip manufacturers and hardware manufacturers.
Sincerely,
Robert Mc

2024-10-27T08:42:41+00:00 Hello, Irina Baltag
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Thank you very much for your feedback. I have carefully read the information and problem description you provided.
I understand that this problem is causing you trouble, when you try to start your Windows system, you encounter the error message "The driver cannot load this device in Windows iqvw64e.sys". This problem usually occurs due to memory integrity enabled on your computer, which considers this driver as malware or something harmful and blocks it.
pcdsrvc_x64.pkms is an executable exe file, which belongs to the kernel driver process and is developed with the Dell Support Assistant software by PC-Doctor software developers.
What is iqvw64e.sys, this is a software component of the Intel Network Adapter Diagnostic Driver located at C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\iqvw64e.sys. iqvw64e.sys is a diagnostic driver for the Intel LAN software tool, it is not an important or mandatory module for LAN devices.
But when the Windows computer starts, Windows misidentifies it as a virus through the memory integrity tool, which is the root cause of this error.
I suggest you try the following methods to troubleshoot the error, which may help you.
Method 1. To prevent potential virus threats in the computer, I suggest you perform a full scan
Press Win + I, select "Update and Security", and then click "Windows Security".
Select "Virus & Threat Protection" in the left menu.
Click "Scan Options", then select "Full Scan", and finally click "Scan Now".
Windows Defender will start scanning the entire system to find and remove viruses and other threats.
Method 2: Update related drivers
Since the Intel network adapter diagnostic driver causes the iqvw64e.sys error to appear, updating the driver may work.
Go to the official Intel website or your computer manufacturer's website.
Find the support or driver download page. In the search bar, enter your hardware component model to find the latest driver for your operating system.
Make sure to select the driver version that is compatible with your operating system and hardware specifications to avoid compatibility issues
Download the driver package provided by Intel. Usually, it will be provided in the form of a compressed file or executable installer.
Before installing a new driver, it is recommended to create a system restore point or back up important files to prevent unexpected problems.
If the driver file is a compressed archive, extract it to a convenient location.
Locate the extracted driver file, double-click the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
Method 3. Remove or uninstall pcdsrvc_x64.pkms
To remove pcdsrvc_x64.pkms from your computer, follow the steps below one by one. If pcdsrvc_x64.pkms is a part of software installed on your computer, this will uninstall it.
If the file is a part of a software program, then it will also have an uninstaller. You can then run the uninstaller located in the following directory, for example C:Program Files>PC-Doctor>Dell SupportAssist>Kernel Driver>pcdsrvc_x64.pkms_uninstall.exe.
Or if pcdsrvc_x64.pkms was installed using Windows Installer, then to uninstall it go to System Settings and open the Add or Remove Programs option.
Then search for pcdsrvc_x64.pkms or the software name Dell SupportAssist in the search bar, or try the developer name PC-Doctor.
Then click on it and select the Uninstall a program option to remove the pcdsrvc_x64.pkms file from your computer. Now, the software Dell SupportAssist program along with the file pcdsrvc_x64.pkms will be removed from your computer.
Method 4: Uninstall and install the driver
A corrupted driver installation can trigger this program compatibility error, so uninstall the driver and then install the same driver to deal with the issue:
Right-click Start.
Select Device Manager.
Find Network Adapters and double-click to expand it.
Then right-click on the device that is causing the problem and select Uninstall device.
Uncheck the box “Try to remove the driver for this device.”
Click Uninstall.
Then, restart the device.
Method 5: Remove recently installed Windows updates
Sometimes, a problematic Windows update or a conflict between the update file and the driver can generate this error. But don’t worry, you can easily uninstall Windows updates using the instructions below:
Press Winkey+R.
Type appwiz.cpl and press Enter to launch the Programs and Features window.
In the left panel, click View installed updates.
The Settings page will prompt you with a list of Windows updates (Windows 11).
Click the most recent Uninstall and confirm the pop-up.
Method 6: Run SFC and DISM commands to repair system files
Press Win + X or right-click the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows PowerShell (Admin).
Type and run the SFC command:
sfc /scannow
This command will scan all protected system files and replace corrupted ones. This process may take some time, so be patient.
DISM can repair problems in Windows image files and is the next step when SFC cannot repair files.
Continue using the Command Prompt with administrator privileges. Enter and run the following commands:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
These commands will check and fix problems in the Windows image file. /RestoreHealth You may need to connect to the Internet to download and replace damaged files.
Method 7: Perform a System Restore
System Restore is designed to help recover from system problems, software conflicts, or unexpected changes that may cause instability or failure. Using this feature, you can restore your system to a point in time when the error did not start.
Press Windows and R, then enter rstrui.exe.
Press Enter to start the System Restore Wizard.
If you can find Select a different restore point, select this restore point.
Click Next.
Select the date and time of the error "The driver could not be loaded on this device".
Then click Next.
Check the point you selected in the window that appears, and click Finish.
If a warning pop-up window appears, select Yes.
Best regards
