Good Day,

I have a HP Pavillion that used to run Windows 11. I have switched the OS to Linux Mint Cinammon and after utilizing it for a bit, it's didn't feel comfortable with the environment so I created a Windows 11 iso within a Bootable USB. When I go on the Setup, it shows the following information:

I am unable to choose the SSD that contains Linux for me to change it to Windows 11. How do I fix this?

I ran into this same problem. The problem seems to stem from the fact that your hardware is not correctly recognizing your SSD. So for instance I was working with a Dell 5080, trying a fresh install of Win11. Same problem. The resolution was that I needed to download the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver and put that driver on my USB. I just went to Dell and found the driver. So if you can find the driver, put it on your USB along with your fresh install. Browse to the USB from that drop down. From there it should be straight forward

After too long I figured it out. Basically, you need to get a computer that has windows currently running on it then you need to downloadIntel Rapid Storage Technology Setup file onto the windows computer. Now you should have a file called SetupRST.exe in your Downloads. You don't need to run it, but if you did that is fine too. Now open Command Prompt and change your directory to Downloads using the command cd Downloads

Now run the command **SetupRST.exe -extractdrivers SetupRST\_extracted**

Now you should have a folder called SetupRST\_extracted in your Downloads. Put this folder on your bootable USB. From here boot the windows instillation on the Linux computer from the USB. Once you get to the screen shown on the original question, click browse, find your bootable USB then find the SetupRST\_extracted keep opening all the folders inside until you find VMD folder. Select it, then install the first driver that pops up. Unplug your USB. Now you should be able to see all of the Partitions on your computer. Find the partition with the most space and delete it then click on the space you just deleted the partition from and create a new partition. Select the newly crated partition then click next. Plug in your computer and install windows. Have Fun.

    Hey

These steps did not work I also completely reset the BIOS. Tried the Drivers found on the Motherboard. I couldn't do the IRST step as I have an AMD CPU so I tried the AMD chipset driver. I also opened DIskpart and tried different format types, did not work. I even tried pluging it in via ethernet to see if it needed an internet conection, did not work.

I am at a loss. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
