I accidentally enabled fn key in my hp elitebook 830 g8 laptop and I can't disable it. I tried pressing left shift (fn lock) + fn key multiple times but it's of no use. Due to which not a single key of my keyboard works now. Please help me solve this issue.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Try pressing Fn + Esc to see if that removes the Fn lock on your keyboard.

If that does not work for you, boot your system into BIOS, and on the System

Configuration tab, you should see an option to enable/disable the Action Keys Mode, set that to its opposite setting, save that and restart your system.

To go into BIOS, repeatedly press F10, F9, F1, F2 or Esc after pressing the power on button. Try F10 first, and if it doesn't work, restart and try F9, etc. You can also try pressing them all together, but it is not recommended. It works for me when I don't know which one to press.

To solve the issue, it looks like a firmware problem. I have tried changing the settings in my BIOS as DaveM121 suggested, but it hasn't solved it. Fn + Esc is microphone mute on my laptop (HP ProBook 440 G9). The issue started after I updated my BIOS firmware, so I'm going to try rolling back my to the previous version to see if it solves the problem.
