So recently my audio quality coming from my microphone when I play sounds from my soundboard sound low quality and muffled. I've tried Voicemod and Soundpad Demo and the audio quality from my mic when I record it still sounds bad. I think that it might be a problem with windows or another software I have on my laptop. Both soundboard sound exactly the same when I play sounds from them and this is really frustrating as I use my soundboard a lot. The audio I hear when playing sounds are high quality but my microphone is outputting low quality sounds across both apps. All help is appreciated!

I am having the exact same problem, however none of your fixes worked but I managed to fixed it on discord by changing the noise suppression from krisp to standard, and I was really hoping to see a similar option in the windows settings too, but I can't seem to find it if it exists. Does an option like that exist in Windows 11 settings ?

    Hello, Easton Pope

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the sound quality issues you are experiencing with Soundboards such as Voicemod and Soundpad, here are some troubleshooting options:

    1. Make sure your microphone and Soundboard's input and output devices are set up correctly.

Right-click on the volume icon at the bottom right corner of the taskbar and select “Sound Settings”.

In the “Input Devices” and “Output Devices” columns, make sure the correct devices are selected.

In “Control Panel” -> “Sound”, check the “Record” and “Playback” devices to make sure they are configured correctly. correctly.

    1. Audio driver update:

    Open Device Manager.

Find “Sound, Video and Game Controllers”, right-click on your audio device and select “Update Drivers”.

Follow the prompts to update the driver, or visit the device manufacturer's website to download the latest driver.

    1. Windows Audio Enhancements:

Right-click on the volume icon at the bottom right corner of the taskbar and select “Sound”.

Go to the “Recording” tab, right-click on your microphone and select “Properties”.

Go to “Enhancements” tab, check “Disable all enhancements”.

    Click “Apply” and “OK”.

    1. Audio software conflicts:

Sometimes, different audio software can conflict with each other and cause sound quality problems. Try closing unnecessary audio software and keeping only one Soundboard program running.

Make sure that no other audio processing software (such as audio equalizers or other audio effects software) is interfering with your audio output.

    1. Make sure the audio settings in the Soundboard software match those in Windows.

Open the Soundboard software's Settings menu and check the Audio Input/Output settings.

Make sure that the settings match the devices in the Windows “Sound” settings.

    1. Software update and reinstallation:

Make sure you have the latest version of the Soundboard software. If there are problems, try uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

Visit the official Voicemod and Soundpad websites to download and install the latest version.

I look forward to your feedback, which will help me locate your problem.
