2024-11-12T02:28:26+00:00 Dear Mamatha R,
Welcome to the Microsoft Community
I understand you're experiencing issues with the voice-to-text feature on Windows 11 after the latest update.
Let's work through some steps to get this functionality back on track.
Step 1: Check Microphone Settings
- Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Go to System > Sound.
- Scroll down to Input and ensure the correct microphone is selected.
- Use the Test your microphone option to make sure it is picking up sound.
Step 2: Ensure Voice Typing is Enabled
- Press Win + H to open the voice typing tool.
- Click on the settings icon (gear) in the voice typing tool.
- Ensure options like Auto punctuation or other enhancements are correctly configured.
Step 3: Check Speech Language
- Go to Settings > Time & language > Speech.
- Make sure that the Speech language matches your spoken language.
- If necessary, download and set a different language pack for speech recognition.
Step 4: Uninstall the update
- Select Start> Settings> Windows Update > Update history> Uninstall updates.
- On the list that appears, locate the update you want to remove, and then select Uninstall next to it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please let me know if you've encountered specific error messages, or if any applications are interfering with the voice typing, and I'll be glad to assist further.
