Reliable software for recovering permanently deleted files?

I had a personal project.

It was a level pack for a fangame that I foolishly had forgone backing up, which I learned the hard way when, one day, I deleted it by complete and utter mistake. It was long gone by the time I went to look for it in the recycle bin, and when I tried system restore, there were no checkpoints near that time that I could go back to, and so far I haven't found any reliable software that could be used to recover files that've already been permanently deleted.

It's been a few months since then. This project means a lot, if not my entire home state to me, so that is why I ask, is there any surefire software out there that I can use to get my personal project back?

Windows for home | Windows 10 | Windows update

The chances of recovery depend on how much the drive’s been used since the file was deleted. If it's been a few months and the drive has been in use, the file might have been overwritten, making recovery harder. However, it’s still worth trying with data recovery software.

You can try tools like Recuva or EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. Both offer free versions, but they do have limitations. It’s worth trying the free versions.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the fact is that there is no “reliable software” that can recover your data, and it is impossible to recover your data.

You can try Robert Garcia R1's suggestion, but you should know how little hope there is, so don't expect too much.
