How can I boost sound on Windows 11

I'm experiencing significant issues with audio volume control in Windows 11. The system's volume feels too low, and none of the typical volume-boosting methods are working as they did in previous Windows versions.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Solutions posted on the community
  • Updating audio drivers
  • The built-in Loudness Equalizer has no noticeable effect on any audio output.
  • Equalizer APO was installed and configured correctly, but it doesn’t apply any volume boost.
  • Third-party solutions like VLC’s equalizer don’t seem to provide the expected boost.

Steps Already Attempted:

  • Enabled/disabled Loudness Equalizer in Sound Settings
  • Installed and configured Equalizer APO
  • Tried VLC's built-in equalizer
  • Checked and updated audio drivers

None of the above was successful with bluetooth headphones, speakers or even headphones connected via aux.

When using VLC’s equalizer, increasing specific frequency bands leads to the audio sounding suppressed or muted as it attempts to get louder. This happens even when volume normalization and similar features are explicitly disabled. This is a critical feature that worked in previous Windows versions. Please advise on how to restore this functionality in Windows 11.

Any insights or suggestions to restore proper audio volume control and boosting functionality would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
