OneDrive is not installed on my computer. I cannot click on any "cloud icons" to change anything because I don't have any. Everything is set to save to Local Disk (C:) - but everything goes to \OneDrive\Desktop. Thanks in advance.

Hi rvillea, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

Did you stop automatic backup before uninstalling OneDrive? This usually happens when OneDrive was removed without disabling automatic backup. To fix this, you will need to reinstall OneDrive, then stop automatic backup before you remove it again.

    • After OneDrive installation and setup, go to Settings > Sync and Backup > Manage backup
    • Select "Stop Backup" for the folders you want to move out of OneDrive (Documents, Pictures,..).
    • Then on the affected folder, right-click > Properties > Location Tab
    • Click on "Restore Default". This will restore the folders to C:\Users%useraccount%
    • After that, you'll have to manually move the files to their respective folders
