How can I use a phone as a webcam and have it show up under cameras in device manager instead of imaging devices? Using a new gaming desktop with windows 11 and a samsung a14 cell phone. Connecting via IVCam app on both windows and android. I need this for my camera program in a golf simulator to recognize the camera. Was told it will only show up if camera is listed under cameras and not imaging device. Thanks.

Hi, I’m Vinay. Thanks for reaching out.

I’m here to help you today.

Once try DroidCam or EpocCam and see if it shows under cameras instead of imaging devices

Please let me know if you have any questions!

    Thanks for the reply.

Have you enabled USB debugging ?

If not , once enable it and check.

On your phone, Go to settings - about phone - software information - tap on build number for 7 times to enable developer options.

Now again go to settings - developer options - enable usb debugging.

Let me know how it goes !

Thanks. That didn't help. Still shows as an imaging device instead of camera in device manager.
