Hello, Mike Gonzalez
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Hello, thank you for your feedback here, it looks like you are experiencing problems with Nero Platinum 2025 after installation, the software says “Some components need to be repaired” and stops responding after clicking the repair button. You have uninstalled and reinstalled Nero several times, but the problem persists.
Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you:
Right-click on the Nero shortcut or installation file and select Run as administrator. This will ensure that the program has the permissions it needs to run correctly.
Temporarily disable your computer's antivirus and firewall programs, which can sometimes block or interfere with the installation or running of applications like Nero.
Once disabled, re-run Nero to see if the problem is resolved.
Disclaimer: Temporarily turn off antivirus protection. However, keep in mind that if you do so, your device may be vulnerable to threats. So please turn it on immediately once issue fixed.
Use the Nero General CleanTool to completely uninstall any remaining Nero files from your system. Sometimes files or registry entries left over from previous installations can cause problems.
Download Nero CleanTool
After cleaning with this tool, restart your computer and try to reinstall Nero Platinum 2025.
Try installing Nero Platinum in compatibility mode:
Right-click on the Nero installer file > Properties > Compatibility tab.
Check Run this program in compatibility mode: and select an older version of Windows (e.g. Windows 8 or Windows 7).
Click Apply and try a fresh installation.
Make sure your Windows 10 system is up to date. Sometimes updating Windows can resolve some compatibility issues.
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and then click Check for updates.
Sometimes other programs or system tools (e.g. disk utilities, third-party software) may conflict with Nero.
Check if there are other programs running in the background that may conflict with Nero and disable them temporarily.
View error messages or logs related to the Nero installation in the Event Viewer in Windows.
Press Windows + X and select Event Viewer.
Look for entries related to Nero or the installation in Windows Logs > Applications.
There may be a problem with your user profile. Try to create a new Windows account and install Nero from it.
Go to Settings > Accounts > Family and other users and click Add other people to this computer.
After creating a new account, log in and try the installation.
If none of the above methods solved the problem, it is recommended that you contact Nero Official Support and ask if there are any known issues for Windows 10, again the latest version of the app may have compatibility issues with older versions of Windows. Support : Nero AG
