Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it?

That 5/3 LED blink code indicates a problem with either the motherboard or RAM on your laptop.
First, try using these steps to reset your BIOS.
Disconnect the laptop from mains electricity.
Press and hold the power button on the case of your laptop for 30 seconds.
Wait 30 minutes
Reconnect the power cable and start your laptop, does it boot into Windows?

No it doesn’t
Sorry, I was offline, if that process did not get your laptop booting into Windows, then you will need to take your laptop to a PC Repair Shop to have the hardware tested.
