Screen casting a Windows 11 to a LG Oled

I'm trying to connect my Windows 11 desktop to my LG television to view a streaming service that doesn't have an app on the TV.

I can set up the TV for screen sharing, connect to the TV via the Windows key + K. The TV comes up as an option, I selected and my desktop

screen appears. But when I open a browser to view the video it doesn't appear on the TV screen even though screen sharing is working.

I am able to view these streaming services connecting a laptop to the television via an HDMI cable. But I cannot cast or screen share the same

video stream from my Windows 11 PC.

Any suggestions as to what the problem would be and how to fix it?

    Which projection option did you select when using the wireless connection (duplicate, extend, second screen only)? Maybe you could try changing these options to see if there is any difference.

    You can also try checking if you can correctly cast YouTube videos in Chrome using the Chromecast feature.

    I've tried the screen casting and several websites, commercial, education and

    Three streaming services and it hasn't worked for any of them. All I get on the TV screen is a picture

    of my computer desktop. I'm trying to view streaming sporting events on the Big Ten network.

    They have a subscription service called BTN plus. I've been able to connect to it using a laptop

    connected to an HDMI port on the television networks fine. But it would be nice not to have to make the connection

    all the time and move the computer to where the TV is.

    Besides the source of the video, there are also details about the video itself, such as window mode and full-screen mode. How is the video stream not displaying? Suppose you are playing in a browser window; does it show the entire computer screen, but the video stream area only shows a black screen?
