    mxllows,

I understand. You can search for Windows 10 USB drive on popular online stores like Amazon or other well-known online retailers in your region. Make sure to read the reviews before making a purchase. Otherwise, you can use the other device to create the installation media.

Let me know if you still need more help.

    Best regards,

    Gunasekar N

Hi Gunasekar_N. Sorry for being very very late

When restarting to go to Startup settings, it brings me back to the “Choose an option screen”

Reset this PC doesn’t work and I have no restore points and startup repair does not work at this point.

    Please help.

    Hello mxllows,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.

I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

May I please know what all the recovery options you tried in the Windows Recovery environment screen?

    Image

On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Click System Restore.

If this method doesn't resolve your issue, you can try other recovery methods like Startup Repair or Boot your PC in safe mode. Alternatively, you can try the system recovery process without affecting your Personal files.

    • Select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Keep my files and Proceed with Local re-installation. This method will completely re-install Windows without affecting your Personal files.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help you further.

    Best regards,

    Gunasekar N

mxllows, thank you for your reply.

In this situation, I recommend creating a Windows 10 Bootable installation media drive where the other recovery options we tried failed.

You can create a Windows 10 Bootable installation media from a Working computer.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

Once you have the Bootable media drive ready, plug it into the problematic PC and use the drive to Repair or re-install Windows.

During the Windows setup process, select '; Repair my computer; and try the recovery options to troubleshoot your older operating system. If you are still experiencing issues, I recommend you to re-install Windows.

Disclaimer: At this point, we have exhausted all troubleshooting and I recommend that we try to perform a clean install to get your computer back into working condition. Please ensure you back up important data, including Documents, Pictures, Videos, and more.

Rescue Files When Windows Won't Start -

If you have any important files, I recommend rescuing the files first using the method above and then doing the clean installation.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help you further.

    Best regards,

    Gunasekar N
