WHAT HAPPENED?? Upgraded to the Newest Win11 Home 24H2 ON My Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17IIL05, and Like Many of YOU, Ended Up With NO Audio Showing ANYWHERE!!

I Spent HOURS Over Days and Never Got the Intel High Definition DSP Driver to Load.... Downloaded Dozens of "Drivers" from Lenovo, HP and Dell with No Change and No Answers... My Pro License DriverMax Ignored there was an Unknown Device! Tried Google Searching on the Driver Device Details Hardware IDs and Compatible IDs - NO Solutions!

Watched Mutlitudes of Post and YouTube Videos 0f "100% Solutions to Your Audio Not Working" NOT Addressing My Issues.... AAAGGH! Lenovo Vantage Downloaded a driver - No Change. The NEW Lenovo Diagnostics Evolution, Report the Audio Passes - No Problems, No Errors!! What Audio Device Where??? Not In My Device Manager?!?

    THEN FOUND THIS POST!!

I am answering this in case somebody like me has the same issue. The laptop I was experiencing the issue on was the Lenovo P15v. Lenovo actually has a guide to fix this easy, which does not require downloading any additional drivers or anything like that. Here is the link: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-p-series-laptops/thinkpad-p15-type-20st-20su/solutions/ht510392-audio-device-missing-or-cannot-find-audio-device-thinkcentre-m720s-m720t

THIS IS THE ANSWER.... Don't Skip Over It.... FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTION PRECISELY AND BE AMAZED...

Basically The Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller  Is HIDDING UNDER System Devices...

HERE's My Version of the Instructions: Press Win-X, Select the Device Manager, Go to and Expand System Devices, Find the Intel STT Audio Controller, Right Click it Update Drivers, Browse My Computers For Drivers, Let Me Choose From Available Drivers, THEN Select from that List, High Definition Audio Controller (THIS IS IT!! Ignore ANYTHING Else!)

And Watch as Your 4 Missing Devices Populate Replacing Your 1 Failed DSP - No Drivers Device,

NOTE: There will be 2 New Devices under Audio inputs and outputs, and 2 Under Sound Video Game Controllers,

The Intel Display Audio & Realtek Audio... Reboot Your System and TEST!!

AND BEST OF ALL You HAVE Working HD Audio AGAIN! Thank You, THANK You, THANK YOU! Words are NOT Enough!

    Hi KenEdobor,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Apart from the Intel DSP, you should also have another Audio driver installed, like Realtek

    1

Open Device Manager, expand the Sound Video and Game Controllers section, please provide a screenshot of that window.

    2

Click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.

The only solution that worked for me was:

    1. Download the driver from the following url and extract it to disk:

    Realtek Audio Driver for Windows 11 (Version 21H2 or later), 10 (Version 1809 or Later) - ThinkPad P15 Gen 1, P15v Gen 1, P17 Gen 1, T15g Gen 1, T15p Gen 1 - Lenovo Support US

    1. From the administrator start the driver update on the "Intel High Definition DSP" device.
    2. Select "Search my computer for drivers".
    3. Select "Choose from a list..."
    4. Select "Game Controllers, Audio..."
    5. In the folder where the driver was extracted, select the "IntelHDASST" folder.
    6. After this the audio started working although the device "Intel Smart Sound Technology" was added with a warning that it cannot start the device.
    7. Probably not optimal but it worked.

La única solución que funcionó para mi fue:

    1. Descargar el driver desde la url siguiente y extrarlo en el disco:

    Realtek Audio Driver for Windows 11 (Version 21H2 or later), 10 (Version 1809 or Later) - ThinkPad P15 Gen 1, P15v Gen 1, P17 Gen 1, T15g Gen 1, T15p Gen 1 - Lenovo Support US

    7. Seguramente no es lo óptimo pero funcionó.
