My Bluetooth Driver is just gone.

After restarting my computer after one of my games was not working. I noticed that my Bluetooth was turned off and that there was no option to turn it back on. So I check my device manager, and my Bluetooth driver is just gone. Gone, doesn't exist on my computer anymore. All of the online solutions require deleting the driver. Obviously, none of those solutions work for me. Even after trying to install the driver appropriate to my computer it still just does not exist.

Had problems with Win 10 for years. Bluetooth devices just randomly started to disconnect and reconnecting, always disconnected after i turned of the sound source (Youtube video or game). Tried to reconnect 10 times until it worked or i turned my bluetooth off and back on, which gave me a whole new set of problems, for example couldnt reconnect until i deinstalled the drivers and restarted. Never found a solution.

Upgraded to Win 11, bought a new WIFI/bluetooth card and it seemed to be solved. After a few weeks i had the same problem again. Im chasing this since 3 years now. Im not even trying to understand, how Microsoft cannot just give a simple solution for bluetooth. I mean are u freakin serious?

For right now, its 5 am. As always in the morning, i deleted all of the bluetooth drivers via device manager, i turned my pc off, switched off the power switch, i waited 10 minutes, i restarted the pc and only almost 2 hours later i still dont have bluetooth. Bluetooth doesnt show up in the taskbar, doesnt show up in device manager (also not hidden), i turned the bluetooth services to automatic and WOW i still dont have bluetooth.

I REPEAT. ****! HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I DONT HAVE BLUETOOTH MICROSOFT. **** IS THIS? ARE U FREAKIN SERIOUS?! I am DONE! The only solution left to try is reinstalling Windows again. And again. And again. And again.

How tf is this even possible? After 3 years with the same problem? And every single solution, was only temporary. I dont care what anyone says anymore. In my opinion, Microsoft does this intentionally. I have a PC since im 15. 17 years ago. I cant imagine how a person without that experience would have to deal with this. I mean, they dont. They buy a new PC. Thats why Microsoft is doing this. Theres no other excuse, to give a simple solution to bluetooth.

Thank you very much for reaching out! As an Independent Advisor and fellow Microsoft user, I'm more than happy to assist you.

Would you mind giving these steps a try and then informing me of the outcome?

Check if Bluetooth is Enabled in BIOS/UEFI

Sometimes, Bluetooth can be disabled in the BIOS/UEFI settings. To check this:

    • Restart your computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing a key like F2, F10, DEL, or ESC during startup).
    • Look for Bluetooth settings and ensure it is enabled.
    • Save changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI.

Show Hidden Devices in Device Manager

Your Bluetooth driver might be hidden in Device Manager:

    • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
    • Click on View and select Show hidden devices.
    • Expand the Bluetooth section and see if your Bluetooth device appears. If it does, right-click and select Enable device.

    Run the Bluetooth Troubleshooter

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can help identify and fix Bluetooth issues:

    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
    • Select Bluetooth and click Run the troubleshooter.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

    Scan for Hardware Changes

If the driver does not automatically reinstall:

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Click on Action and select Scan for hardware changes. This should prompt Windows to detect and reinstall the Bluetooth driver.

    Check Windows Services

Ensure that the necessary Bluetooth services are running:

    • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    • Locate Bluetooth Support ServiceBluetooth Audio Gateway Service, and Bluetooth User Support Service.
    • Ensure these services are running. If not, right-click each service, select Start, and set the Startup type to Automatic.

    Reset Windows Services

Sometimes, resetting Windows services can help:

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Right-click on the Bluetooth adapter and select Uninstall device.
    • Restart your computer and let Windows reinstall the driver automatically.

    Check for Windows Updates

Ensure your Windows 10 is up to date:

    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    • Click Check for updates and install any available updates.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be worth considering a system restore to a point when Bluetooth was working correctly, we can try it if all the steps above aren't working.

Please feel free to reach out if you require any additional assistance. I'm here to help!
