Realtek Audio Console fails to launch and returns "Can not connect to RPC service." and Realtek HD Audio Universal Service does not exist.

Hi, I a problem that others may experience.

As I have stated, The Realtek Audio Console fails to launch, which is probably the cause that my laptop device is not able to detect my headphones and other audio devices plugged into the audio jack.

The Realtek HD Audio Universal Service also does not exist in the Services list, nor the Task Manager Startup Tab.

I scanned my device through the DriverEasy application, and software components such as the Realtek Asio Component, Realtek Audio Effects Component, Realtek Audio Universal Service, and the Realtek Hardware Support Application are now marked as unplugged devices. Is it because I might have installed an incorrect version of a Realtek Audio Manager?

I have provided my System Information. Looking forward to further support

    Hi ,

You will do the following: uninstall the Realtek Sound driver and use DDU.

    DDU:

    https://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/games/PC/guru3d/ddu/[Guru3D.com]-DDU.zip

Note: DDU is a third-party application to completely delete and reinstall the Sound driver.

    1. After downloading, extract ddu to a folder.
    2. Run the driver screen uninstaller.exe application, select Model tab, put Sound.

After uninstalling the Sound Driver, uninstall it for Realtek

    1. Click on the First option clean and reboot and wait for the process to finish.
    2. After running DDU and following the procedure:

    https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/GamingNB/Ima...

Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

I recommend not using software to update drivers today, Windows Update already comes with the catalog to update the drivers or I always download the drivers from the manufacturer's website, if ASUS you have the Armory Crate application which has the update drivers function.

    Hope this helps.

Ah, Hello, Ivan Carlos. Thank you so much for the help

The Realtek Audio Console works perfectly fine now, and now I can use my headphones to listen to audio. But I have a question, I plugged in my external microphone through the USB port. How do I make it appear on the Recording Device list? I'd like to give audio enhancing effects, since my external microphone keeps making static-buzzing noise. Any solution for this?

Thank you for the support so far!

    Hi ,

    The settings are in agreement and yes, it means the clean and restart option to remove the default Realtek driver (WIP) that is installed on your laptop;

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, Ivan Carlos, but before I proceed there are a few things that I want to double-check before I proceed.

These are options for the uninstaller. Are these configurations good? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/619209553418125329/1311404566557757471/image.png?ex=6748bc2d&is=67476aad&hm=73c5070c16790112d69d1e9426dfe2c4a81e3802dfe7670d1fca14a1b728bc54&

In this image, I set the device type to Audio, and selected REALTEK (WIP) as the device. And when you meant "First option", did you mean the Clean and restart option? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/619209553418125329/1311404778881814538/image.png?ex=6748bc60&is=67476ae0&hm=7a541c967bf7161425c30a8229e5f8be2edb67749c1e5af7d3a227feedc4ac79& Looking further for confirmation!

I'm sorry, I might have meant "Software components" instead of "Software Devices". I have edited the post. Looking forward to further support,
