Thank you for your help. I have tried all aof your steps and I still get "Install error - 0x80070103" for Intel Corporation - Display - 31.0.101.5388 and Intel Corporation - Extention - 31.0.101.5388. It begins to downlaod but will not install. Please note I cannot locate the troubleshooter. All that I see is a search option for articles. Can you assist further?

I have the same issue, tried everything and updates just wouldn't install:

    • Dolby - SoftwareComponent - 3.30608.680.0
    • Microsoft Corporation - SoftwareComponent - 1.0.41.0

Been persisting and a real pain, any advice please?

    Same here on a Lenovo.

    Dolby SoftwareComponent 3.30702.720.0

    Intel Corporation Extension 31.0.101.5388

From what I can tell, both versions are older than what I have installed yet they both keep trying to install. Resetting Windows Update using the steps provided simply doesn't work.

For now I have hidden the updates.

    Christine

I tried all the steps including the reboot, I got the first update to download but no success with the install or the download and install of the second update. I also tried going into the services and noticed that the net stop wuauserv, and the
net stop bits, never restarted themselves so I force a restart on them.

I am still getting the same error message.

Thank you for any help on this.
