    Hi Marelou Rimestad

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Merry Christmas! 🎄 Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a new year filled with peace, happiness, and success! ✨

Based on your description, I understand that you opened Roblox before you even had a chance to look at your profile and Roblox automatically closed, and I know exactly how you feel!

I will give you some options and hopefully solve your problem successfully! However, this first reply may not be able to solve your problem due to the lack of information and the fact that this issue requires different aspects of troubleshooting, so please understand and provide me with more information (pictures would be great!) in your reply. Thank you very much!

Option 1: We first try and make sure to update Windows 11 and Roblox to ensure the stability of the application and the system.

Option 2: Let's try to clear the Roblox cache.

    1. First clear the cache files on your system.

Please note: There may be files or folders that cannot be deleted because the cache is being called, so we will skip them.

“WIN + R to open “Run” -> Type “%temp%” and open it -> Ctrl + A to select all files and folders in this folder and choose “Delete”.

Some files and folders may require administrator privileges to delete.

For files or folders that cannot be deleted, we will simply skip them.

    1. Clear the Roblox cache file.

“WIN + R“ open “Run” -> Type “%localappdata%\Roblox\” and open

Find the “Versions” folder and delete the contents of the “Cache” and “Logs” folders.

Do not delete the folder itself as this may cause Roblox to fail to open.

Please note: Before deleting this cache file, we can make a backup of the cache and logs that need to be deleted to another path.

Assuming there is a problem after deletion we can restore it immediately.

Make sure all cache files are cleared (including the recycle bin) and restart your computer to take effect.

Option 3: Sometimes excessive security software can also result in blocking Roblox.

We try to disable all types of firewalls and third-party anti-virus programs.

    1. Disable all types of firewalls.

Click “WIN key” to open search bar -> type “Windows Defender Firewall” and open it -> disable all types of firewalls

    1. We try to disable or temporarily uninstall the third party antivirus software.

If you choose to disable it, please make sure to disable all services related to antivirus software to avoid services running automatically in the background.

If you choose to uninstall temporarily, please make sure it is a clean uninstall to avoid file and registry residues that may cause the problem to still exist.

Disclaimer: Temporarily turn off antivirus protection. However, keep in mind that if you do so, your device may be vulnerable to threats. So please turn it on immediately once issue fixed.

Option 4: We make sure to run Roblox as administrator.

Right-click on Roblox shortcut or “.exe” executable -> select “Properties” -> select “Compatibility” in the upper tab -> make sure “Run this program as an administrator” is checked -> “Apply & OK”.

Then we try to reopen it, sometimes still right-clicking on the Roblox shortcut or the “.exe” executable -> select “Run as administrator”.

Option 5: We try to run Roblox in compatibility mode.

Right-click on Roblox shortcut or “.exe” executable -> select “Properties” -> select “Compatibility” in the upper tab -> check “Run this program in compatibility mode for”, select different Windows version to test, check the following whether the problem still exists

Option 6: Sometimes it is possible that incomplete compatibility of the graphics driver may be the cause of the problem.

However, since graphics cards are categorized as discrete or integrated, I don't know what graphics card you are currently using, so I will describe them separately.

    1. Integrated graphics cards.
    1. Update the driver

“WIN + x” and select ‘Device Manager’ -> Find the corresponding integrated graphics card device -> Right-click on the device and select ‘Update Driver’ -> ”Automatically search for Update Driver”.

    1. Install Generic Driver

Also in “Device Manager” -> right-click the device and select “Remove Device” (make sure “Remove Driver” (if any) is checked -> restart the computer, the system will automatically search and install the generic driver.

    1. Manual Installation of Drivers

The driver involves the following cases:

    (1) If it is a laptop computer, you can download the driver for the corresponding model of laptop through the brand's official website.

    (2) If it is a desktop computer, you can download the driver for the corresponding model through the official website of the motherboard brand.

    (3) You can also download the driver for the corresponding model through the official website of the graphics card manufacturer.

Please note: Please try the latest version of the driver first, if the problem still exists, we can try some known older and more compatible versions.

    1. discrete graphics card.

For discrete graphics cards, I personally recommend the manual installation method.

First of all, we can completely uninstall the current graphics card driver with the help of DDU tool (Display Driver Uninstaller), and then download the latest version of the driver from the official website of the graphics card manufacturer and install it.

The main reason for using the DDU tool is to prevent file and registry leftovers, which may cause driver conflicts or problems that may still exist.

Again, if the latest version of the driver still has problems, we can try to install some known older and more compatible versions.

Option 7: Please try to clean boot your computer.

Since clean boot uses only a limited set of files and drivers, it can help us to effectively troubleshoot the possibility of problems caused by third-party applications, driver conflicts, etc.

You can refer to Clean Boot for more information: How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support

After clean boot, please slide down the webpage after opening the link and find “How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot” This is a dichotomy that helps us pinpoint the service that is causing the problem and disable it.

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem. These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.

Option 8: If necessary, we can try to reinstall Roblox.

And we download Roblox through the Roblox website and install the latest version.

We also need to make sure the internet connection is stable.

I sincerely hope that the above information will help you. Please feel free to contact me (Photos related to the question would be great!).

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Have a wonderful holiday season!

    Best Regards
