It's becoming harder and harder to defend Windows 10 against attack. It's a losing battle. Windows can no longer be protected by software alone. Microsoft needs to rely on hardware.
Anything made of software can be hacked, and artificial intelligence makes it easier for the criminals to defeat software protections. Hardware can't be hacked. (Not yet, at least.)
Unfortunately, this means that perfectly good computers lacking the necessary hardware (like mine) can't use Windows 11, because Windows 11 relies for its security on hardware that the computer doesn't have.
A better way to defeat attack is to move to the cloud, where your data can be protected by professional grade hardware. I would recommend to anyone who wishes to continue using Windows 10 after it loses support to store their data online and to use internet apps (instead of apps that are installed on your computer.) If you're not willing to move to the cloud, a Windows 11 PC is the next best choice.
