Pin not workind due to organization, even though it always has.

The weird thing is it worked without any hiccups before i updated to the new Win11 2024 H2, after a following BIOS update it stopped working. On my laptop which has the exact same setup of my account as admin, and the organization account connected to it (without the new 24 h2 update) it still works fine. I've tried all the things I can find, including CMD "health" scan commands, troubleshooting from startup, deleting Ngc folder (which I still don't have (I used %appdata% then local\microsoft, it's not there (hidden folder are visible)) even now as I've disconnected the organization and with the pin (windows hello) working correctly). Something that might be noteworthy is that the Ngc folder isn't on my laptop either, even though pin works as it should there, it also states that the pin is supposed to be unavailable due to organization on my latop (yet it isn't).

As I said the pin works on this PC, as I now just have the work account signed into outlook. I just think it's weird that it works on my laptop with the organization account connected, but not on this PC. My guess is that this new update (win11 2024H2) makes it so that the organization can stop me from using windows hello (note that I never check the box that gives my organization control of apps etc.) .

I also find it weird as to why almost all guides include this Ngc folder, yet I don't have it even though when my pin works both on the PC (without the organization account connnected) and laptop. There is another folder called Ngconsentmanagement (but when i tried looking for if that was the same thing I only found sources saying no, in addition to that my laptop has neither of the two folder (yet it works flawlessly).

Any solutions, or will I just have to either use this PC without the organization account connected or revert back to the previous win11?

    Hi Pascal,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Apologies for any inconvenience you are experiencing. I am happy to help you today.

That can be due to a malware infection. It adds some registry entries which can disable the PIN. Let us first work on that.

    Please run Malwarebytes free scan:

    https://malwarebytes.com

Let me know the outcomes of the scan. After that we would proceed.
