Hey, so I wanted to use mail but it said I had to update mail so it opened microsoft store, and it said "Before you can shop, we need to update microsoft store" so I pressed "Update now" and waited and nothing happened. Then I clicked back and it said there was an error, when I pressed see details, it took me to a screen telling me that it "can't connect" (I have linked an image of the screen). When I pressed "check connection" it said I was connected to the internet and secure. I have tried multiple ways of troubleshooting and nothing has worked, and I can't use my email because of it.

When was the last time it worked properly?

If you have a third-party VPN or Antivirus installed, please try to temporarily uninstall it then check if the issue persists.

Please try changing your Region to United States if it helps.

Please let me know if you have tried the methods below.

    **Reset the Microsoft Store cache

Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box,

    type wsreset.exe -i

    and then select OK.

    Note:

A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close, and Microsoft Store will open automatically.

**Check the Microsoft Store Install Service

Press the Windows Key + S and type in services.msc.

Find the Microsoft Store Install Service and double click, If the status is Running, right click it then select Restart

If disabled, change it to Automatic, click Start and click OK.

**Please try to run SFC and DISM to check for any system errors and corrupted files.

Performing an In-place upgrade usually fixes this type of issue and can reinstall your Microsoft Store app once it's complete. Please let me know how it goes.

    Dear John,

Thanks for the help. I tried every method, and none of them worked. The 3rd method (**Please try to run SFC and DISM to check for any system errors and corrupted files.) did not even happen because it said I needed elevated permissions to run DISM. Do you have any other methods I could try to resolve this issue? I really need access to the Microsoft Store for my email amongst other things.

    Kind Regards,

    Ahmad
