    Hi, Ahmed Daubor

Thanks for your reply! Merry Christmas!

Based on feedback from other users, this may be a specific issue with the Fortnite game. If you still encounter this problem after trying these methods, it is recommended that you contact Fortnite official support directly.

    Best Regards

    Hi, Ahmed Daubor

Welcome to Microsoft Community and Merry Christmas!

We understand that you are experiencing “failed to connect to network backend services . it's possible a firewall may be the cause”.

This issue is related to your network and configuration information, so we suggest you try the following options:

    1. Open the “This PC” folder
    2. Click on Local Disk (C:) > Windows > System32 > Drivers > etc
    3. Select All Files from the dropdown menu at the side of the File Name box
    4. Run the hosts file as system administrator
    5. Select and delete all of the text within the file and save the changes
    6. Open Fortnite again and the error should be solved If the above solution fails to solve the problem, you can try to reset Host:Before implementing this solution, it is recommended that you backup the original hosts file by copying it to your desktop, so that you can directly drag the file back to the original path and overwrite it in case of subsequent problems.Once the backup is complete, you can follow the steps in the link below:How to reset the Hosts file back to the default - Microsoft Supportand Clean boot to exclude third-party software:How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support*Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.**These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.*If the problem persists after you try the above options, it is recommended that you contact Epic's official Fortnite support between you.
