    I'm really sorry about that. Have you tried using both the USB A and USB C at the same time connected? Is this your exact model?

    Are you plugging in the power supply cable to a USB charger?

    I also had this problem. I plugged the power cable into an external power charger. I could not see the drive even going to command.com. I could, however, using the disk manager, change the drive letter. Still no joy. Then when I plugged the power lead into the computer as a power source, the drive worked fine. Surprising this is not in the instructions.

    Easy solution is to use the power cable it came with.

    Just the connect electricity from your computer's laptop, is enough to power it.

    More details;

    It is usually a small cable.

    That cable might be a USB type A to male type DC BARREL JACK.

    It basically depends on the price of the drive, mine came USB type A to USB type C,

    caused I've paid for a better model.
