Hi, Taylor Goodenough
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
We understand that you are experiencing problems with the WiFi adapter not being detected and some USB devices are also not being detected, then this may be related to driver and USB port failures, we suggest you can perform the following troubleshooting steps: I. Check for hardware problemsConfirm that the USB port is working properly:- Try to detect whether these USB ports are working properly through other USB devices (e.g. USB flash drives). If multiple devices are not working properly on different USB ports, it means that the USB ports may be the problem.Use another USB port:- If there are available front and rear USB ports, try plugging the wireless WiFi adapter into a different port.Check the WiFi adapter:- Make sure your wireless WiFi adapter is intact, try plugging it into another computer to see if it works.****II. Update or reinstall the driversUpdate Windows:- Open “Settings” -> “Update and Security” -> “Windows Update”, check and install all available updates.Reinstall the USB controller driver:- Right click on the “Start” button and select “Device Manager”.- Expand the “Universal Serial Bus Controllers” section, right-click on each USB root hub and select “Uninstall Device”.- Once the uninstallation is complete, restart your computer and Windows will automatically reinstall these drivers.Update or install the WiFi adapter driver:- In Device Manager, check if there is a device with a yellow exclamation mark. If there is, right-click on it and select “Update Driver”.- If no device is found, try downloading and installing the latest driver directly from the adapter manufacturer's website.****III. Check Network SettingsReset the network settings:- Open “Settings” -> “Network and Internet” -> “Status”, scroll down and click on “Network Reset”. “Network Reset” and follow the instructions.Check if the wireless service is started:- Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box, type services.msc and press Enter.- Make sure the “WLAN AutoConfig” service is started and the startup type is “Automatic”.IV. BIOS and System SettingsUpdate the BIOS:- Visit the motherboard manufacturer's website to download and update the latest BIOS version.Check the BIOS settings:- Enter the BIOS setup at boot time and make sure the USB controller and network devices are enabled.*Disclaimer: Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the information you receive from the third-party linked sites or any support related to technology.**If you are going to modify BIOS Settings, please back up all your personal files first to ensure you do not lose data.*V. Restore SystemRestore the system to its previous normal state:- If the problem occurs after making some setting changes, you can try to restore to the previous restore point.- Open “Control Panel” -> “Restore” -> “Open System Restore” and select a restore point to restore the system. If none of the above steps solves the problem, you may need to further check the hardware itself for faults or contact the device manufacturer's technical support for further assistance.Hopefully these steps will help you resolve the issue. Good luck!
Best Regards
