I have a copy of Windows 10 on my old Mac running virtually through VMware Fusion. I bought a new Mac which has a M4 processor, my old copy of windows 10 won't run on it. I downloaded the ARM version of Windows and installed great, however, the activation code from my previous version of windows won't activate it. Do I need to purchase a new activation?

Hi, I’m Vinay. Thanks for reaching out.

I’m here to help you today.

Since you're using a different processor architecture (ARM) on your new Mac, the activation code from your previous Windows 10 version likely won't work for Windows 11 ARM.

You will need to purchase a new activation key for Windows 11 to get it properly licensed.

    Regards,

    Vinay
