How do I turn off lock screen ads even though "personalization -> lock screen -> helpful tips and treats" is unchecked?

Before you tell me "uncheck the box in personalization -> lock screen" that says playfully "helps and tips and tricks and treats and goodies" look at my picture below that shows its already unchecked. I am plagued ceaselessly by NASDAQ WEATHER CYBER MONDAY GIVING TUESDAY TRAFFIC whenever I open up my screen. Windows 11 home. Ads are still there. Micro$soft still $hilling. Do I just gotta switch to Linux for my peace of mind? Is there no way to appease the shareholders with payment suitable to remove constant barrages of fact$ tip$ and $uggestions?

Just wanted to update that I tried all this and it still doesn't work. First of all there was no 'CloudContent' under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. I created one with the disable features key anyway. I did find a 'CloudContent' under HKEY_CURRENT_USER' and added a disable features key to that as well. I still get tipsss when I close my laptop lid OR hit windows key + L.

Also yes, background is a picture and not Microsoft Spotlight.

Navigate to "lock screen status" (it's right there in your screenshot) and set it to "None" instead of "Weather and more"

Hi, I’m Vinay. Thanks for reaching out.

I’m here to help you today.

I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue . Please try below steps which can fix the issue .

    1. Turn Off Microsoft Spotlight also. Open Settings - Personalisation - Lockscreen - Change the Background to Picture or Slideshow, instead of Windows Spotlight.
    2. If that doesn’t work then try registry editor

Press win + R then type “regedit” and click Ok

    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CloudContent

Right-click on the CloudContent folder, select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value, and name it “ DisableWindowsConsumerFeatures” and set its value to 1.

Restart your computer and see if it helps.

I hope this resolves your issue! If you have any queries, please let me know.

    Regards,

    Vinay
