    Hello,Coppercandycanes

Welcome to posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand your annoyance, please let me offer you some ideas. According to your error message 0x8007025d, this error is usually related to I/O device errors and is usually due to the following factors:

    1. Installation media issues: The USB image file may be damaged, incomplete, or not loaded correctly.
    2. Storage device failure: Bad sectors or other hardware problems with the target hard disk or SSD.
    3. Memory error: The computer's RAM may not write data properly during the installation process causing an interruption.
    4. File system compatibility: The boot device format (e.g., NTFS or FAT32) is not set correctly or does not support the installation of a new system.
    5. Other Device Connection Conflicts: Extra external devices (e.g., hard drives, USB devices) may cause conflicts during installation.

The possible causes of error 0x8007025d are relatively easy to troubleshoot, and I'll provide you with some ways to check them, so please follow the steps below:

    1. Check the USB installation media
    • Make sure your ISO file is from a reliable source, we recommend using Windows Media Creation Tool to re-download the Windows system image and make a USB boot disk.
    • Replace the USB drive, make sure it is in good condition and formatted to NTFS, and recreate the installation media.
    1. Detecting hardware problems (If you are not comfortable testing the following, you can skip it for now and go to a computer repair store later)
    • It is possible that the hard disk is failing; try replacing it or switching to an alternate storage device.
    • Remove and reinsert the physical memory stick or switch to a different slot; if there are multiple memory sticks, keep only one of them for testing.
    1. Adjusting BIOS settings
    • Go into the BIOS and make sure the USB boot priority is set correctly.
    • Try turning off the Fast Boot and Secure Boot options and then reboot the installation. If you have turned it off, try turning both options on and then restarting the installation.
    • If the hard disk mode is RAID, try switching to AHCI to ensure compatibility.
    1. Reduction of external equipment
    • Remove all external devices (including other USB drives or external hard disks) except the mounting device and keyboard.
    • Avoid using the USB expansion connector and insert the USB installation disk directly into the connector provided by the motherboard.
    1. Try different versions of Windows
    • If the problem persists, it may be a conflict between the current installation version and your hardware. Try using a lower version or a different updated Windows installation image to test.

After you refer to the above steps, you can share some information in this thread and I will answer your questions further. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

    Best Regards,
