Nvidia graphic drivers installing, but not detected and the same driver is avaliable for install afterwards

Got a new pc. Win 11 ios, nvidia 4070 gpu and 12th generation intel cpu.

I have fixed an issue with windows not being able to download or install updates, but the graphics drivers are still a mystery to me.

The nvidia geforce app has a new driver ready for me to install. I click install and it looks like it finishes the install without a problem. But, then I see that the same driver is available for install in the app and there are no drivers detected on the pc.

How do I fix this? It gives no error codes.

    Hi ,

This is very strange, the recent drivers should work, do a test using DDU and reinstall using NVCleanstall.

    DDU:

    https://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/games/PC/guru3d/ddu/[Guru3D.com]-DDU.zip

Note: DDU is a third-party application to completely delete and reinstall the GPU driver.

    1. After downloading, extract ddu to a folder.
    2. Run the driver screen uninstaller.exe application, select Model tab, put GPU.

After uninstalling the GPU Driver, uninstall it for Nvidia GPU

    1. Click on the First option clean and reboot and wait for the process to finish.
    2. After running DDU and following the procedure:

    Hi ,

Well, I checked here and found nothing related to the motherboard, just an Intel microcode problem. However, it is possible that there was a problem with the PCI-e input on the motherboard, according to a report from a user with a failure in the PCI-e 1 on this motherboard. In this case, it is still a hardware problem.

But be careful, the problem could be with the GPU or the motherboard.

I just wish you luck and that they solve the problems so you can play again.

    Hope this helps.

So I have tried this now but the drivers still won't install.

Opening the device manager and looking at the 'display adapters' > 'NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070' and open the properies, i can see this message under Device status:

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

Any search on this error code jyst recommends uninstalling and reinstalling again, which I have tried.

    Got any ideas on this?
