Telex Mode For Vietnamese Keyboard On Windows 11 AZERTY

I have a french keyboard AZERTY layout. I wanted to type Vietnamese telex.

But the Vietnamese telex IME uses QWERTY layout. How to configure the IME to the AZERTY layout?

    To use the Vietnamese Telex input method with an AZERTY keyboard layout in Windows 11, you can follow these steps to adjust both the Vietnamese input method and your keyboard layout settings. Unfortunately, the built-in Vietnamese Telex IME does not support direct configuration for AZERTY layouts.

    However, you can achieve this configuration through a combination of setting the AZERTY layout and using third-party software or registry tweaks if necessary.

    Step 1: Install the Vietnamese Telex Keyboard

    • Press Win + I to open Settings.
    • Go to Time & Language > Language & region.
    • Under Preferred languages, click on Add a language.
    • Search for Vietnamese, select it, and click Next.
    • Ensure Set as my Windows display language is unchecked (unless you want the whole system in Vietnamese).
    • Click Install.
    • After installation, click on Vietnamese under Preferred languages.
    • Click on Options and then Add a keyboard.
    • Select Vietnamese Telex.

    • Return to Time & Language > Language & region settings.
