Updating from Nvidia High Definition Audio v1.4.0.1 to v1.4.2.6 issue

Everything is fine with v1.4.0.1. Every time I install the newest v1.4.2.6, all the Nvidia devices in the sound playback settings are gone, resulting in the audio to be not connected to anything. It shows it's installed and in the device manager. Reinstalling v1.4.0.1 it all works again.

If you tell me to reinstall windows, I will not. I've tried removing the driver from the device manager, restarting PC many times.

Screenshot shows v1.4.0.1 working fine.

Great! Thanks for your quick answer. I'll check for this old Nvidia graphics driver. I just reset my laptop again, lol, and it still doesn't work.

To get the older audio driver, you'll need to install older Nvidia graphics drivers until it gets to that older version. Make sure to do the custom option, and It'll say which version the audio driver is in each installation before proceeding. I don't remember which Nvidia version was the newest with that old audio driver.

Also this issue is now fixed for me in the latest Nvidia graphics driver. I don't know how lol but now the Nvidia audio pops up in the settings and audio works.

Hello Tommy, I bought CCleaner and updated all drivers in my laptop, and then, without audio, I'm so frustrated. I have been doing everything and also reinstalling Windows. I tried to find a v1.4.0.1. driver, but I can't find a realeable place to download it. Can you please recommend me or let me know how I can restore this version? Thank you!
