Hello,PragmedicXV
Welcome to posting in the Microsoft Community.
I understand your concern and distress very well, and I will try to help you examine the current situation as best I can, and hopefully recover as much as possible with our cooperation, if possible.
In order to do this, I need to confirm the following information with you:
- I see that you have provided a screenshot, but such a display interface is relatively rare and I need to confirm the details of the dye. If it is convenient, please take a screenshot of the complete image and share it with me. In order to prevent information leakage, you may note that the private information is coded.
- You mentioned that you changed the permission settings in Windows, which is a very sensitive operation, and user permission issues usually bring a chain of abnormal problems. I would like to ask you if you remember what exactly you changed?
If it's simply a case of corrupted system files or altered account privilege configuration data, you can try to replace the potentially corrupted files on your system using a repair installation, he won't damage your personal data; secondly, you can try using a system restore point or uninstalling Windows Update, they can return your system to a system environment that existed in the past when the failure hadn't yet occurred.
- Using System Restore Points
- Type Control Panel in the bottom search bar, then select “Recovery > Open System Restore > Next”, select the restore point before the system update, and then select Next > Finish.
- Restoring the environment through WinRE
- Click the Start button in the bottom left corner of the screen and select Settings.
- In the Settings window, click on “Update & Security” and in the left menu, select “Recovery”.
- In the Advanced Startup section, click the Restart Now button. This will restart your computer and take you to the advanced startup options.
- From the options that appear, select “Troubleshooting > Advanced Options > Uninstalling updates”.
- Repair Installation
- Select the Download Now tool - run the media creation tool - select Yes - select Accept - select Create installation media for another computer - select DVD ISO file - Save as local.
Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com) - Run the local WINDOWS. ISO file - right click - mount - select run setup.exe - select don't use it for now - select keep personal files and settings - select Next - wait for the installation of WINDOWS Repair to complete - restart the WINDOWS computer.
Disclaimer: Let’s try performing an in-place install or in-place upgrade which will refresh your Windows files and operating system without removing files or applications. That being said, we always recommend that if you have important data, you should back it up before making large system changes. If you want to back up your data first, please do so. Once you are done backing up, you can follow the steps in the following guides: How to run In-place upgrade in Windows 11 - Microsoft Community
After you refer to the above steps, you can share some information in this thread and I will provide you with further answers as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Best Regards,
