What are the consequences for disabling Internet explorer? Why was it added to my indexing list?

Also, what is that "csc" folder"

Indexing options

Off the subject, but for some time now, when I try to upload an image here, this is what happens

Windows for home | Windows 10 | Files, folders, and storage

Yes, you can safely remove IE from Indexing without harm :

Press Win + S , Search for “Indexing Options” and Open it

Click Modify and uncheck IE-related locations

Are you talking about uploading image in the question ?

The Indexing options link displays the image I was trying to upload, but resulted in that blank black image. I had the same thing just happen in another thread in the community.

Hi, I’m Vinay. Thanks for reaching out.

I’m here to help you today.

Disabling Internet Explorer on a Windows PC generally means that certain legacy applications and websites that depend on it may no longer work correctly.

If you’ve used Internet Explorer previously, Windows might still index IE’s files and data for search purposes.

The “csc” folder stands for Client-Side Caching, storing offline copies of network files for faster access.

    Regards,
    Vinay

    Hi Vinay,

Can I remove IE as an index location without harm?

Have you ever heard of other Firefox users with that image upload problem? Works as expected with Chrome.
